1. About these terms

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of this website and any purchase you make from JDM Motors of Illinois, LLC, an Illinois limited liability company with its place of business at 3040 S 26th Ave, Unit B, Broadview, IL 60155 ("JDM Motors of Illinois", "we", "us", "our"). By using this site or placing an order, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to place an order. By ordering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to use the payment method you submit.

3. Products

We sell used and low-mileage imported Japanese engines, transmissions and auto parts. Because our inventory consists of individual used units, each item is unique. Photographs, descriptions, part numbers and specifications are provided in good faith to describe the specific unit offered, but minor variation in appearance, finish and attached accessories should be expected on used parts.

Where mileage is mentioned, it is an estimate based on the information available to us and on the physical condition of the unit. Verified odometer documentation does not always accompany exported units, and no mileage figure should be relied on as a guaranteed measurement unless we have supplied supporting documentation in writing.

4. Fitment is the buyer’s responsibility

You are responsible for confirming that the part you order is correct for your vehicle and your intended application. We will help — give us your year, make, model, trim, engine code and VIN and we will tell you what we believe fits — but any guidance we provide is advisory. Vehicle modifications, prior repairs, regional variants and differences between Japanese-market and US-market specifications mean final verification rests with you and your mechanic.

5. Orders and acceptance

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we accept the order and confirm it. We may decline or cancel an order in the circumstances set out in our Cancellation Policy, including unavailability, pricing or description error, failed verification, or an order we cannot lawfully or practically fulfil.

6. Pricing and payment

All prices are in US dollars and are subject to change. Payment terms, accepted methods, taxes, core charges and chargebacks are covered in our Payment Policy, which forms part of these terms.

7. Shipping, risk and title

Shipping arrangements, delivery inspection obligations and freight claims are covered in our Shipping Policy. Risk of loss passes to you when the goods are handed to the carrier or, for local pickup, when the goods are loaded onto your vehicle. Title passes on receipt of payment in full.

8. Returns, cancellations and warranty

Our Return Policy, Cancellation Policy and Warranty Policy form part of these terms. Please read them before ordering and before installing any unit.

9. Installation and emissions compliance

We are a parts supplier, not an installer. Installation must be carried out by a qualified mechanic. You are responsible for ensuring that any part you buy, and the vehicle it is installed in, complies with all federal, state and local requirements applicable to you, including emissions, safety and inspection rules in your jurisdiction. Requirements differ from state to state and we do not represent that a given imported unit is compliant with the rules that apply where you live. Parts sold for off-road, competition or export use may not be legal for use on public roads.

10. Intellectual property

The content of this website, including text, photographs of our inventory, layout and graphics, is owned by or licensed to us and may not be copied, reproduced or republished without our written permission. Manufacturer names, model designations, engine codes and logos are the property of their respective owners and are used only to describe the fitment and origin of the parts we sell. We are an independent supplier and are not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by any vehicle manufacturer.

11. Acceptable use

You agree not to use this site to transmit malicious code, attempt unauthorized access, scrape content in bulk, interfere with its operation, or place fraudulent orders. We may suspend or refuse service to anyone who does.

12. Accounts

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for activity carried out under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

13. Disclaimers

Except as expressly stated in our Warranty Policy, and to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, products are supplied without further warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. The website itself is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. See also our Disclaimer.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability arising out of or relating to any order will not exceed the amount you paid us for the item giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including labor costs, removal and reinstallation, towing, rental vehicles, downtime, lost profits or damage to other components. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you, and nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

15. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JDM Motors of Illinois, LLC and its members, officers and employees from claims arising out of your misuse of a product, improper or unqualified installation, use of a part in an application it was not intended for, or your breach of these terms.

16. Governing law and venue

These terms and any dispute arising out of them or out of any purchase from us are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. You and we agree that the exclusive venue for any dispute is the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

17. Severability and waiver

If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.

18. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you place an order is the version that applies to that order.
